Information used to fulfil your order

Arete uses the name and email supplied at checkout, purchased guide titles, payment references, amounts, payment status, and order history to fulfil purchases, handle support, and manage refunds. Support messages contain the information you choose to send.

Payment details are entered in Dodo Payments’ hosted checkout. Arete does not store your full payment card number. Dodo processes payment, billing, tax, and fraud-related information under its own policies, available at checkout.

Reviews you choose to share

After an eligible verified purchase, you can submit a review. Approved reviews may display your chosen public name, rating, and review text alongside the guide. Your checkout email is not displayed with a public review. Reviews are checked before publication.

Polls you choose to answer

Voting uses a random identifier stored in your browser for that poll. The server keeps a poll-specific anonymous digest and your chosen answer to prevent repeat votes. Polls do not ask for your name or email, and vote results are shown as totals. Clearing browser storage can permit another vote. Dismissing an announcement is remembered for the current browser session.

Browser storage and security

Your browser saves your book bag, theme preference and a random anonymous visitor identifier locally. Anonymous visitor counts are kept for up to 90 days, are separate from customer records, and do not include IP addresses, email addresses or page URLs. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. Clearing that browser data removes those choices. Private receipt information may also be kept in your browser session so you can return to your purchase.

Owner login uses a protected session cookie. The site uses Cloudflare for hosting and private file storage, and Neon for order and store records. Access to customer records is restricted to the owner’s protected workspace. Server credentials and encryption keys are not published to visitors.

Hosting and payment providers may process technical request information to operate and protect their services.

Your information and requests

Order information is kept to deliver purchases, respond to support, manage refunds, and meet record-keeping obligations. You can contact arete404.help@gmail.com to ask about your information, request a correction, or request deletion. Some transaction records may need to be retained where applicable law requires it.

Please avoid sending sensitive information in a public review. Keep private receipt and download links to yourself.
